June 2021- The world was just starting to open up again (thanks to the first round of COVID vaccines). Hope took her first flight in 17+ months to meet up with Sarah, John, Johnna and Joe in Seattle.

She didn't know at the time that letting her married friends swipe vicariously on her dating apps (we think Joe may get the credit for the actual match) would lead to matching with a handsome scientist....and not actually starting up the conversation until they were 1200 miles apart.

After hours and hours of long distance phone calls, constant texting, and a realization that there was something undeniable here, they decided this was a first date worth flying for.

October 2021- Hope & Ragan went on their first official date at Stampede Cocktail Club (shoutout to the velociraptor head on the wall at the bar that saw it all).

September 2022- Long distance no more. Hope moved to Seattle. Mainly for Ragan, Sarah, John and Jack....but also for the soup dumplings.

March 2024- Ragan proposed on the bank of the Skykomish River in Index, WA.
